'Allo Allo' by Jeremy Lloyd and David Croft Based on the hugely popular TV comedy series, the stage version of 'Allo Allo' follows the adventures of Rene, the hapless cafe owner in war-torn occupied France, as he and his wife, Edith, struggle to keep for themselves a priceless portrait stolen by the Nazis and kept in a sausage in their cellar. Rene is hiding two British airmen and is endeavouring, with the help of the Resistance, to repatriate them. However, communications with London through a wireless disguised as a cockatoo add to the many embarrasments he endures in the company of his patrons. Matters come to ahead with the news that the Fuhrer is to visit the town and the cafe becomes filled with tricksters intending to imperonate Hitler before the event. Rene will need all the wit he can muster to save his cafe and his life . . . ! There will be a matinee performance on Saturday 2nd August 2008. It's big, it's beautiful, it's natural The British Natural Bodybuilding Federation's search for a Southern champion comes to The Alexandra Theatre, Regis Centre in Bognor Regis on 10th August 2008. Sponsored by Reflex Nutrition the event under the BNBF umbrella promotes bodybuilding in its natural form and the competition has a strict 10-year drug-free rule. Some of the UK’s top natural bodybuilders will gather at the Alexandra Theatre to battle it out for a placing in this year’s BNBF Southern Championships. Winners can go on to compete at the BNBF British Finals on 12th October and then the 2008 International tour in the USA in November. Check-in begins at 11.30am with pre-judging at 1.00pm followed by the evening performance at 5.00pm. All day tickets £12.00 at the door

The Ball, with a striking black and white theme, will take place in the stunning recently refurbished Grand Hall – providing the perfect venue for this exclusive event. The 2008 Arundel Gallery Trail takes place from August 23 - 31 alongside the other great happenings during the Arundel Festival. Every year the trail draws around 10000 visitors, with around 100 artists exhibiting in 50 venues. The Arundel Gallery Trail is a unique showcase for all styles of art and media, encompassing paintings, print, sculpture, textiles, decoupage, stained glass, ceramics and jewellery. During the nine day period, visitors will be able to walk from venue to venue and can expect to meet the artists whilst discovering many beautiful period homes and gardens not normally open to the public. Entry is FREE. It's a great day out for art collectors and enthusiasts alike.
